Mahama Assures Ghanaians: ‘My Team Has the Skills to Revive the Economy’

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his confidence in the young and talented individuals he has appointed to serve in his administration, stating that they possess the capability and determination to steer Ghana through its current economic crisis.

John Mahama expresses confidence in his team’s ability to restore Ghana’s economy.

Speaking during a visit to the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, President Mahama assured the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II, of his unwavering commitment to national development.

He acknowledged the economic difficulties facing Ghana but expressed confidence in his administration's ability to address them through competence and dedication.

“Campaigns and elections are easy. The more difficult part is how to meet the challenge that is facing us, especially now that our country is in a deep economic crisis. How we work to meet the expectations of the Ghanaian people and eliminate the hardship that they are facing is the task that we are currently confronted with.”

Mahama stressed that his team is focused on delivering real solutions rather than mere political rhetoric.

“The task is a difficult one, but we have assembled a team of young and talented members of my administration who are capable of helping me to steer the affairs of this country to enormous success.”

His comments come at a time when Ghana is experiencing severe economic challenges, including high inflation, currency depreciation, and debt burdens.

Mahama’s remarks are expected to spark discussions about his cabinet choices and economic policies, especially amid concerns about Ghana’s fiscal sustainability and economic recovery efforts.

With his administration under scrutiny, the effectiveness of his youthful team will be a key factor in determining whether his government can turn the economy around and fulfill its promises to the Ghanaian people.
