As Ghana awaits the final outcome of the hotly contested Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun, a Ghanaian prophet, Nana Bediako, has stirred conversation online with a dramatic spiritual prediction about the likely winner.

In a video shared on social media, the prophet described a symbolic vision involving two women riding white horses, representing NDC’s Ewurabena Aubynn and NPP’s Nana Akua Afriyie.

“Akua's horse started strong and was leading. But I saw Ewurabena’s horse overtake her in the final stretch,” the prophet declared. “Though the seat seemed destined for Akua initially, in the spirit, the tides have turned.”

The prophecy also revealed that chaos would erupt at the election centre before the official declaration, but that peace would eventually prevail, and the NDC candidate would be declared the winner.

🗳️ Context: A Controversial Rerun

The Ablekuma North rerun, held on Friday, July 11, 2025, was triggered by the annulment of the December 7, 2024 election results. The situation worsened when a fire engulfed the Kwasheman Cluster of Schools, destroying ballot papers and voting materials.

In response, the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) set a new election date, while the New Patriotic Party (NPP) attempted unsuccessfully to block the process in court. On July 9, an Accra High Court dismissed the injunction request, allowing the election to proceed across 19 key polling stations.

Though the NPP officially boycotted the rerun, Akua Afriyie contested independently, keeping tensions high across the constituency.

📹 Netizens React

The prophecy video has gone viral, sparking debates across X (Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok. While some view the prophecy as divine insight, others dismiss it as political theatre.
