In a dramatic intervention that blends spirituality with political strategy, Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, the influential leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has issued a stark warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), framing its devastating 2024 election loss as a divine rebuke rather than a simple political defeat. The widely circulated message comes as the party prepares for a highly competitive presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026. 

The prophet asserted that the NPP’s failure to secure even 40% of the national vote, including losing ground in traditional strongholds like the Ashanti Region, was a direct consequence of ignoring spiritual guidance in selecting its 2024 flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. “When God is speaking, it’s not luck, it’s a message,” the cleric declared, challenging the party to introspect deeply. He cautioned that repeating the same mistake would lead to an even more severe defeat in the 2028 general elections.
