Cristiano Ronaldo is seriously considering leaving the Saudi Pro League next summer.
Cristiano is reportedly ready to pay the €50M release clause in his contract with Al-Nassr and leave Saudi football due to what he sees as bias in favor of Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo is said to be furious 😱
He points out that there are two clubs with the same owner, yet only one point separates them, while: "One club signs Haider Abdulkarim. The other signs several major players, most notably Karim Benzema."
Officials from the Saudi Public Investment Fund told Ronaldo: "Al-Hilal’s signings are funded by Al-Waleed bin Talal. If any Al-Nassr supporter wants similar signings, they must pay for them themselves. Fund officials also believe that Al-Nassr received £100 million in support last summer.
Messages from PIF officials to Ronaldo: “Cristiano, please end your strike and start playing again. Your team Al-Nassr has an important match against Al-Ittihad on Friday, and we want you to play.”
They are reportedly surprised by his dissatisfaction, not only because of his salary, but because he appeared very happy and had a significant role in Al-Nassr’s internal management.
Meanwhile, Saudi Pro League officials have asked Cristiano Ronaldo to stop the strike and return to playing, stressing that what’s happening does not represent a good image at all for the league. 💥🇵🇹
