"Don't follow someone whose desire is all to make himself great in the eyes of the world," he said. "Instead, go after the heart of the Master."

Pastor Chris acknowledged that in sincerely following Jesus Christ, believers might encounter significant sacrifices. Often, people will lose opportunities, material wealth, and worldly advantages simply because they choose to prioritise their spiritual path over temporary rewards.
He stressed that true discipleship involves making hard choices — sometimes walking away from what others offer and accepting being misunderstood or labelled a fool for choosing righteousness.

"Sometimes in serving the Master, you can lose a lot of what men promised you or what people were offering you," Pastor Chris noted. "Because you set your gaze on the Master, Jesus Christ, others will think you're a fool because you've made a decision to walk in the right path."

Despite the trials that may come with unwavering devotion, Pastor Chris encouraged believers to remain steadfast.
He assured them that the sacrifices made for Christ will not be in vain.

"Stick to it. Stick to it because one day you're going to be glad you did."
