Ghanaian socialite-turned-musician Mona Faiz Montrage, widely known as Hajia4Reall, is reportedly set to be released from U.S. prison on Thursday, May 22, 2025, after serving time over her role in a multi-million-dollar romance scam operation.

The breaking revelation came from none other than her former friend and media personality Afia Schwarzenegger, who took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 21, claiming that Hajia4Reall’s release is scheduled for exactly 12:00 AM from the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia.

Afia Schwarzenegger posted what appeared to be a prison release form featuring Hajia4Reall’s full name and prison register number, fueling speculation about her imminent freedom.

This development aligns with earlier rumors suggesting that Hajia4Reall had filed for self-deportation, which was approved in January 2025 by U.S. District Judge Hon. J. Paul Oetken. The judge ordered her passport to be returned to facilitate her voluntary return to Ghana.

Hajia4Reall’s legal troubles began after she was arrested in the UK on November 11, 2022, shortly after attending the 2022 Ghana Music Awards UK. She was later extradited to the United States, where she pleaded guilty on February 21, 2024, to conspiracy to receive stolen money.

According to U.S. prosecutors, she was part of a West Africa-based fraud ring that operated from 2013 to 2019, targeting victims in the United States through romance scams and business email compromises. Authorities say Hajia4Reall controlled bank accounts that received over $2 million in fraudulent proceeds.

Despite prosecutors pushing for a 37-month sentence, she received a relatively lenient sentence of 1 year and 1 day. However, she was ordered to pay restitution and forfeiture amounting to $2,164,758.41.

Sources suggest Hajia4Reall will return to Ghana immediately upon her release. Whether she will attempt a public comeback remains uncertain, but her name remains highly trending across social and traditional media platforms.
