A video circulating widely on social media has captured a shocking moment involving the bodyguard of 2024 presidential candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, assaulting a mourner during a funeral in Asante Mampong, Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred during the final funeral rites of the late Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, the Mamponghene and Krontihene of Asanteman, whose burial was observed from June 6 to June 9, 2025.

In the viral footage, Cheddar is seen arriving with his entourage at a residential area believed to be part of the funeral grounds. As they approached the entrance, a man—believed to be a mourner—was standing by the gate, an area some reports claim was restricted to the general public.

Without warning, Cheddar’s bodyguard grabs the man by the neck and repeatedly punches him, ultimately knocking him to the ground. The bodyguard then calmly walks off to rejoin Cheddar, who continued into the premises seemingly unaware or unbothered.
