Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder of the International God's Way Church, has made a startling revelation about an alleged private meeting with investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas amid his long-standing dispute with politician Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

Speaking to his congregation, Obinim claimed that Anas approached him in person, revealing his true identity and proposing a joint legal action against Agyapong for defamation.
According to Obinim, the meeting was arranged by a mutual acquaintance, Pastor Raymond, through whom Anas expressed his interest in collaborating on a lawsuit.
"Anas contacted me through a pastor friend and asked that we take legal action against Kennedy Agyapong together," Obinim alleged.
He further stated that during their encounter, Anas removed his signature face mask to show his true face. Despite multiple follow-ups from Anas, Obinim said he was hesitant to proceed with the lawsuit due to his personal and familial ties with Agyapong.
Obinim’s revelation comes shortly after a U.S. court ruled in favor of Anas, awarding him $18 million in damages after finding that Agyapong had defamed him.
This high-profile case has reignited discussions about press freedom, defamation laws, and the power struggles among Ghanaian public figures.
If true, Obinim’s account adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing tensions between Anas and Agyapong. His revelation suggests that Anas actively sought allies in his legal battle against Agyapong, possibly indicating the far-reaching impact of Agyapong’s allegations.
However, without concrete evidence, Obinim’s statements remain his personal testimony, and neither Anas nor Agyapong has responded to the claims as of yet.
This latest twist highlights the complex personal and legal entanglements among some of Ghana’s most influential figures, as well as the ongoing consequences of public accusations and legal confrontations.
