Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan has revealed one of his biggest regrets in football—never joining Manchester United before hanging up his boots.

In a revealing interview with TV3 in Accra, the former Black Stars captain shared that although he had an exciting and well-traveled career, one dream remained unfulfilled: playing for Manchester United, one of the world’s most iconic football clubs.

“If I had a chance, I would have loved to play for Manchester United,” Gyan said.

Gyan is best remembered in England for his time at Sunderland, where he quickly became a fan favorite with his skill, charisma, and unforgettable celebrations. However, after winning over Premier League fans, he left for a lucrative contract in Asia, prioritizing financial stability and new challenges.

In the same interview, Gyan shared a more light-hearted moment by revealing who he considers his funniest teammate over the years.
