Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has broken her silence on the viral video in which she is seen gleefully receiving U.S. dollars from Sammy Gyamfi, the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board and NDC’s National Communications Officer.

In a dramatic live video, Agradaa delivered an explosive response, stating that she will burn down her church, Heaven Way Chapel, if Gyamfi faces consequences over the dollar gift.

“If Sammy Gyamfi is at risk of losing his job because he gave me money, I will burn down my church,” she declared.

Agradaa further pledged to return the $800 she received—and double it—to clear Gyamfi’s name. She announced plans to visit Gyamfi’s office with a camera crew to publicly hand over the money.

“I will return the $800 and even add more to it. I’ll go to his office with my camera and show all of Ghana,” she stated.
“If it’s because of me, a powerful woman of God, that Sammy Gyamfi is facing backlash, then I will act to make things right.”

Agradaa remained defiant, insisting she deserves gifts just like anyone else.

“If Sammy chooses to give me money, I deserve it. But if it’s going to bring him trouble, then I’ll return it. It’s no big deal—I am worth it.”

She also clarified that she was unaware of being filmed during the encounter, claiming that the video was taken without her consent.

“Someone secretly took the video and shared it online. I didn’t know I was being recorded, that’s why I was seen showing off the money,” she explained.

The scandal continues to spark intense criticism online, with many questioning the appropriateness of a public official engaging in such an exchange with someone as controversial as Agradaa, known for her past ties to fetish practices and legal issues.

Despite Gyamfi’s public apology, political pressure remains high, with both the Minority in Parliament and civil society groups demanding accountability.
