A member of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Communications Team, Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah, widely known as Benghazi, has made bold accusations against the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claiming that the party has allegedly co-opted all bloggers in Ghana to serve its propaganda machinery.

In a viral video posted on X (formerly Twitter) and reviewed by The Miraspect News on June 1, 2025, Gyewu-Appiah stated:

“They have bought all bloggers in this country. Every blogger is on the payroll.”

He further singled out Kevin Taylor, host of Loud Silence Media, accusing him of being an unofficial spokesperson for former President John Dramani Mahama, and receiving $20,000 monthly to run pro-NDC content.

“Do you know Loud Silence Media? It has become an annex communication of the president, and he is given twenty thousand dollars every month. He can challenge me if I’m lying,” Benghazi asserted in the video.

While these claims have yet to be independently verified, the allegations have sparked heated discussion across political and media circles, with critics calling for transparency and accountability in political communications.

This development adds to Ghana’s ongoing concerns about media independence, disinformation, and the growing influence of political financing in digital journalism. Media watchdogs and civil society groups are urging for a thorough investigation to uphold press freedom and neutrality in the country’s digital space.

The NDC has not officially responded to the allegations at the time of this publication. Meanwhile, Kevin Taylor and Loud Silence Media have also remained silent on the matter.
