Hon. Ernest Yaw Kumi, the Member of Parliament for Akwatia in the Eastern Region, has tragically passed away at the age of 41, plunging both his constituency and the national political scene into mourning.
According to close family and party sources, the lawmaker died on Monday, July 7, 2025, following a brief illness. As of the time of publication, medical authorities and relatives have yet to disclose the exact cause of death, leaving many shocked by the sudden loss.
