The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that planned power outages will occur on Sunday, July 13, 2025, across selected areas in Greater Accra, Tema, and the Western Region. This development is part of the company’s ongoing infrastructure upgrade and network maintenance efforts to improve electricity reliability and service delivery.
“These works are necessary to upgrade infrastructure and ensure efficient energy delivery,” ECG said in an official statement on Friday, July 11.
The power interruptions are expected to last between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on the specific area.
