"Me sef I'm shocked by massive turnout. God did it" - Shatta Wale reacts to huge Shattafeast crowd

Shatta Wale is still reeling from the massive turnout at the Independence Square in Accra, where thousands gathered on Saturday, October 18, to celebrate his 41st birthday at Shattafeast, a concert held in his honour.

The event, which brought the capital to a standstill, featured electrifying performances, surprise guest appearances, and emotional moments that reflected the artist’s deep connection with his fans and collaborators.

Speaking after the show, an elated Shatta Wale expressed his gratitude and excitement over the success of the event.

I'm so happy that this time, I got you on one of my shows. It has always been my dream to also work with your entity," he told Shaibu Haruna, CEO of Mobile Money Ghana, acknowledging his collaboration with Mobile Money Limited, one of the key partners of the night.

He revealed that the partnership had been a dream come true, noting, “I have always been inspired by the idea of collaborating with Mobile Money Limited, and when they accepted my invitation, I was thrilled.”

Even as one of Ghana’s most celebrated performers, Shatta Wale admitted that the overwhelming crowd left him stunned.

“I'm still shocked at the crowd. Maybe, you will think I have the following, but God is bringing us together to motivate the youth,” he said, attributing the unity and energy of the night to divine purpose rather than fame alone.

The “Melissa” hitmaker also used the opportunity to assure his partners and supporters of his readiness to continue building meaningful collaborations.

I'm always available for any collaboration and support that I can also offer your office,” he said.
