Ghanaians are set to enjoy more data for their money as Minister Sam George announced significant improvements to mobile data packages following successful engagements with CEOs of major telecom operators.
Speaking at a press briefing, the Minister revealed that starting Tuesday, July 1, 2025, customers of AirtelTigo, Telecel, and MTN will see substantial increases in their data bundle allocations at no extra cost.
📶 Breakdown by Network:
🔹 AirtelTigo (AT Ghana)
০ All existing data bundles will see a 10% increase.
০ The GH¢400 bundle, which previously offered 195GB, will now provide 236GB.
🔹 Telecel Ghana
০ Similarly, all bundles will increase by 10%.
০ The GH¢400 package, previously 90GB, will now deliver a massive 250GB.

🔹 MTN Ghana
০ MTN leads with a 15% increase on all data bundles.
০ The GH¢399 bundle, which had been downgraded to 92.88GB at GH¢350, will be restored to 214GB at GH¢399.
Minister Sam George described the adjustments as “a win for digital accessibility and consumer fairness,” emphasizing the government’s commitment to advocating for better value in telecommunications.
“I am pleased to announce that my engagements with telecom CEOs have resulted in clear benefits for every Ghanaian who relies on mobile data. This is just the beginning,” he said.
