A bold prophecy claims Kennedy Agyapong will lead NPP in 2028, sparking excitement among
youth pushing for political change.

The General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, has stirred political conversations with a bold prophetic vision. In a Facebook post on May 3, 2025, the Ghanaian prophet claimed to have received a divine revelation that Kennedy Agyapong will become the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.

According to ElBernard, the vision showed Agyapong facing skepticism from the NPP’s political elite. Party insiders reportedly questioned his leadership potential, doubting whether he had the ability to unify and lead the party into a victorious future.

“I will see and hear a confidential discussion among the elite, prominent figures in politics and members of parliament… Many among them will say, ‘We will not support his candidacy,’” he wrote.

In contrast to elite hesitation, the prophecy pointed to an explosive wave of support from Ghana's youth, who, according to the vision, would unite behind Agyapong’s message of change and strength.

“I will see a group of passionate young people… rallying others to join the movement,” ElBernard stated. “Some will even leave their former parties, seeing their future in his leadership.”

This anticipated youth movement, spanning across political boundaries, is expected to transform into a national campaign strong enough to sway the party’s top brass and energize its base.

Despite losing the NPP’s 2024 flagbearer race to Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong remains a significant political force. The former Assin Central MP, known for his bluntness and business acumen, has maintained a loyal following and continues to influence public discourse.

ElBernard concluded that the prophecy ended with Agyapong being elected as the NPP flagbearer, stating it would usher in a new era of unity, strength, and vitality for the party, positioning it for a powerful campaign in the 2028 elections.

This isn’t the first time religious leaders have linked Kennedy Agyapong to future political leadership. Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, in 2023, also predicted that Agyapong would become president, dependent on divine conditions and timing. The convergence of such prophecies has rekindled public interest in his political future.
